ABOUT ALENTIA'S SANCTUARY...

Alentia’s Sanctuary exists in a world almost entirely similar to modern day Earth. Though magic exists as part of nature and an accepted way of life for most people within the magical community, a population of several hundred million worldwide, the average nonmagical human (or ‘mortal’) finds virtually no deficit in their life for lack of magic.
The Sanctuary exists in a “pocket dimension”, or underground society, away from the public eye. It has been described as being “everywhere and nowhere at once”, and although this is not necessarily true, it is often considered the easiest way to describe it. Within the bounds of the Sanctuary, compasses and GPS systems meant for use outside of the Sanctuary cease to operate as they should, and there is no place on Earth the Sanctuary could possibly exist.

The magical culture within Alentia’s Sanctuary necessitates complete secrecy after the effects of a war centuries past, and those in power within this underground society do their best to keep things under complete wraps. In the last several hundred years in the mortal world, magic has been kept from mortals by way of the community’s Veil, an illusory covering of all magic that exists to hide magic from mortals, altering senses and memories to maintain the status quo of a nonmagical, unexceptional, world, place, and experience.

Lucien Kodicai is one of the select aliases that Alexus Espido, writer/director of the Dawn of Dilemmas series. With a rekindling passion for a childhood dream, Lucien started to work on his world until reaching college, where he started to share his story on various social media platforms like YouTube and Wattpad, and through word of mouth. Continuing his self-improvement for himself, his craft, and the world he envisions, he started working with aspiring content creator Smiscee toward a world where fantasy meets harsh realistic morals. What lies beneath the Earth isn't the layers you'd been taught, not in it's entirety. For beneath lies an empire called Eleutheri, followers of the Mold Mother, Glomerorum. A sovereign deity whom brought life to this hidden realm through HER children, the fae, entities inherently rich with a strong magic that has been passed down for generations

It is near impossible to reach Eleutheri alive when travelling from the surface and even harder to leave, as this place can only be gleamed though an opening into darkness itself. Humans who have found ourselves here are often victims of what they call terrible luck, falling into chasms, swallowed by a sinkhole, whirlpools and the like. Most don’t survive this process, their bodies being discovered already scavenged for anything worthwhile, but survivors are readily welcomed into the community! Human settlements can be found among all the territories for those wanting to pretend to be normal until the end of their human lives. Unless the magic rich environment has them start mutating into one of the fae, that is!
